Come from the window darling

Beckoning me down the hallway to the stairs

With eyes like obdurate stone

But before you go

Take these golden memories

Ill close my eyes until you leave

(Your fingers grace the slope of my back)

You collapse

(Shimmering still night air)

We were meant to walk along this path

In perfect elegance you sit

Watching flames shoot skyward

The earth it shakes and its torn apart

Every night the stars glow brighter

As I let my body ascend skyward

Knowing everyday

Brings us closer to the end

Somehow still

In the morning when I look at you

Your waking eyes ease the pain

Our lips meet and every so soft and exquisitely

Dead vines creep the crumbled house

Where once evil had its place before

Rustling of leaves

The wind stirs

This chamber of power alive once again

Forgotten words spring to lips

As the footsteps tread the spiral stair case

Searching the depths we know

Forgotten demons

Antlers at the alter the stag will be offered as sacrifice
