Miles and miles above the surface

The alarm begins to wail

Trajectory in error

Vital systems all have failed

Across the ocean the shadow races

Quicker still across countryside

Astonished millions stand in silence

And point their fingers to the sky

In the wreck the few survivors

Whisper scripture together in the rain

Searching madly for the jewel
