I was silly ass bus boy, barely out of school, lonely as the setting sun

The joint was barely keeping pace, boss about to lose the place,

Just then a man walks in with an ugly ass grin and he opens up his mouth to say:

«Let me take you for a ride be your shaman and your guide, show you some city

shit today.»

So I walked into his arms, left the mountains and the farms, and I opened my

mind.. .yeah I opened up my mind

Well I got a little older, learned to play guitar and I wrote a couple simple

songs

I met a little woman in the Swedish hills and she showed me 'bout settlin' down.

So we had a couple kids, made some money, hit the skids — but all I kept

thinkin' bout

Was old Cinnamon, my Cinnamon Man.. .

Now I’m sitting all alone, got a couple kids in tow and a habit that won’t

leave me be

And all that I remember is that evening in December when old Cinnamon walked

out on me
