Change of rusty strings

Staring out a bathroom

Window for too long

A bird caws at me

Tries to get me out there

To show me rings

Fold an old T-shirt

That was yours but then mine

Distant memory

I wanted to hold

Put it at the bottom

Of my drawer

At least I’m feeling something

Saw you at the show

Couldn’t get myself to

Hear what you wrote so

I started at the floor

Try to not remember

Flushed skin

Or chewing on a strawberry

With the stem
