Even through a crowd of a hundred people

I still feel alone

Like everyone can see through me

But no one can really see me

We weren’t made to blend

But to thrive on our differences

These thoughts creep up from the back of my skull

In the part where I tucked my favorite little picture of you

Taken on a day long forgotten

But maybe for the best

I just wish I could say the same for you

It all ends the same

There you still remain

Writing seems to be the only time when I take honesty as my first

Writing of lost love and lost attainment

Everything lost but I’ll never forget how we tried

I’ll never forget how you looked at me with those eyes

Those eyes that tired of me before I could let go

That image of you stained into my brain

It’s taken years to forget

But all it’s brought is clarity

It all ends the same

There you still remain
