I’ve had many tears and sorrows

I’ve had questions for tomorrow

There’s been times I didn’t know right from wrong

But in every situation

God gave blessed consolation

That my trials come and they only make me strong

I’ve been to lots of places

I’ve seen many faces

There’s been times when I felt so all alone

But in my lonely hours

Those precious lonely hours

Jesus told me now that I am His own

Well, I thank God for every mountain

And I thank Him for the valleys

And I thank Him for the storms He brought me through

I know that if I’d never had a problem

I’d never know my Jesus can solve them

I’d never know what real faith in God can do

But I’m glad through it all, through it all

I’ve learned to trust in Jesus

For I’ve learned how to depend upon my Lord
