They can’t hear me now

My screams dig inward to the core

And my voice betrays my reason

I can’t listen anymore

To the words I once believed in

I have nothing more to say

They’ve been silenced to whispers

And hung with threads of shame

If you came here to save me

You walked in too slow

There is nothing left but burnt remains

Of what I was two years ago

To reconcile my damaged mind

Would take more than you have to give

There’s nothing left but ruined dreams that

Diminish all I am

They can’t hear me now

My screams resound throughout my world

And my words betray my reason

I can’t listen anymore

For the lies I once believed in

I have nothing but contempt

They tore apart my life and left me

Lying here alone

You can’t hear me

When I needed you, you walked away

You diminished me with every word you said

You can’t hear me

I’m no longer here for you

You diminished me everytime you let me down
