The news comes on the radio, she gets out of bed

Puts on her robe, yawns, scratches her head

Puts on the coffee pot 'cause that’s just being wed

He goes to the office, and she gets in the shower

Sends the children off to school, and within the hour

Gets herself to work, where she spends the next eight hours

He comes home from work, says he’s had an odd day

The children do their chors and stay out of his way

As soon as she comes through the door, he starts in

Grabs the groceries from her hand and ask her where she’s been

Grabs a beer and screams at her, screams for his dinner

As soon as they eat, he goes back to the TV

She does the dishes and her hair quite punctually

They go to bed and live their life with no variety
