Indian Summer

her face was so ghostly and white

Pale smooth as china

I drown in her spirit like wine

Is she just dancing in my head

And when my summer ends,

please be my winter skin

Child of the ocean

she moves like a wave upon the sand

Silent as sunlight to shine for a moment,

I see her speak but I don’t know her
