I tried to see the world but I only saw its shadow

Closing in on me

I looked up to the sky but I only saw an ocean

I was drifting out to sea

And then I saw her face and a life I thought I’d never find

Reflected in her eyes

And I listened to her heart singing silent words that set me free

Yet captured me, no more gravity

I’m falling

I thought of things I’d lost and all the ones I’ve left behind

And answers never found
