It never goes like I thought it should and that’s a real nice thing

'cause the Lord is good,

so I believe that the lesson I’ll embrace is wait

There’s a line on the road of faith that if I cross, my heart never will obey.

When everything within me wants the reigns, I’ll wait.

They that WAIT, run but never get so tired to stray

Fly but never get too far away

Holding to the Father’s heart, oh, every day

I will wait

Looking back on the road I’ve run to see the grace that’s made all that I’ve

become

So, when I look my future in the face, I’ll wait
