Once again I’m struck by a feeling

Deep down inside it’s like a rabbit hole

Itching thoughts but I can’t remember

I’ve gotta satisfy a burning soul

It’s kind of scary

When you think you’re in power

But you’re a slave in a system of pain

As I wake up I am filled with desire

A wish to be in another…

They shook my hand and

They promised me gold

Their breaths stank

From the lies they told

My mind is weak, I’m beaten down
