I remember the day, I recall the feelings being washed upon my body as I ran

Denial straight from my veins, every fibre in this body is resistant to believe

in anything they say

They try to tell me you’re gone, they try to tell me it’s done and it’s over

and I just need to move on

But it cannot be, they’re lying to me, I don’t believe

You chose to leave this world far too fucking soon

I stood paralyzed as it crushed their lives

Time stops and everything freezes

You can hear the heartbeat of a broken child

Your waves ripple through the air

Creating chaos in their path

Your reason still seems unclear

I forgive

The shell is still intact

But the inside’s broken

This is out of my control

I’m letting in the cold

The silence seeps into my mind, corrupting my perspective

I scream at the void, begging to be heard

But nobody hears it and the pain becomes stronger

Escaping is the only freedom I get, I exile myself

Empty ruins appear

As I cross the wasteland

The earth crumbles

As I seek a purpose

Hopelessness controls my destination

Regret fuels my motivation
