If I have no lover, I’ll serenade myself

If I have no doctor then I’ll stay in bed and nurse me back to health

If I have no dinner, I’ll cook up plans instead

If I lose my sight I’ll still see clearly in my head

If I have nowhere to hide, I’ll wait to be uncovered

If I don’t have house I’ll make home in the glow

Of someone I don’t know

If I have no god, I’ll worship everything and

Everything will then become an icon of devotion
